Trip Worden – President

Trip has been involved with Universal Bookbindery since 1987, when, as a young adult, he worked during holidays and summers. Trip went on to become vice president of the company in 1992 and was named president in 1996. He has experience both in the production plant and in various departments in the office. He is also active in the local manufacturer's association and serves on the boards of several San Antonio organizations. Trip is married with two daughters and enjoys hunting, golfing and fishing.

Having owned a print-oriented business for 14 years prior to joining Universal Bookbindery, David offers more than 33 years experience from almost every perspective in the specialized print industry. David stresses managing  customer needs and partnering with customer projects – aspects which help maintain Universal Bookbindery’s position as a creative and innovative industry leader. David has a 39 year marriage  and has two children and two grandchildren. Among his pastimes, he is active with the church, Boy Scouts and enjoys hunting.

Ron Nielsen – Sales Representative

Ron joined Universal Bookbindery at the beginning of this century, but his lifelong career and interest in the book publishing and manufacturing field began in the late 1960s as Vice President/General Manager and part owner of a yearbook manufacturing plant. After selling the company in 1979, Ron successfully represented a book manufacturing firm throughout the Southwest for over 20 years. He went on to serve multiple terms as a member of the Board of Directors of Book Publishers of Texas. Ron has always been actively involved in his church and The Boy Scouts of America, and is proud that his three sons reached the rank of “Eagle.” Ron and his wife Ilse enjoy history, traveling, camping and spending time with their children  and 12 grandchildren.

Marcella Davies – Customer Service

Currently a customer service representative and Assistant to the President of the company, Marcella has 19 years of experience with Universal Bookbindery. Throughout the years, Marcella has had many responsibilities in various areas, a fact that has greatly contributed to her overall knowledge of the bookbinding industry. In her spare time, Marcella and her husband enjoy sports and spending time with family.

Sandra Humrichouse – Customer Service

Sandra has been a part of the Universal Bookbindery customer service department for more than 13 years. Sandra enjoys the creativity of solving design issues and ensuring that jobs produced in Universal Bookbindery have a smooth transition from printed material to completed product. Sandra has three children and one granddaughter. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading and fishing.

Dahnene Moravits – Customer Service

Dahnene has been with Universal Bookbindery since 2003. Her responsibilities include working in the estimating and sales departments as well as customer service. Dahnene and her husband enjoy motorcycle rides and both spend time outside of work being involved in their church and work in the Gospel Magic Ministry.

Rose Villasana – Head Estimator

Rose started in the manufacturing side of Universal Bookbindery in 1979. During her time at Universal she has held a variety of department positions ranging from Production Coordinator, Purchasing, Shipping and Receiving Manager as well as Customer Service. Rose has two children, six grandchildren and a very supportive husband. Her hobbies include being a grandma and shopping.

Joyce Penaloza – Controller

Currently serving as Controller and Secretary/Treasurer of Universal Bookbindery, Joyce began her career as Office Manager in 1978, working closely with customers in order to help them achieve their needs within budget. With nearly 30 years of experience, Joyce is familiar with all aspects of the manufacturing environment. Joyce has two children, two grandchildren and a husband of 40 years. She enjoys cycling in her free time.

Frank B. Barron III – Production Manager

Since joining the company in 1989 as a cutter operator trainee, Frank has progressed to being responsible for managing all aspects of production at the Universal Bookbindery plant. He has extensive knowledge of the company's processes and capabilities. Frank encourages strong communication between customers and production personnel to maximize efficiency on all jobs. Outside of work, Frank enjoys spending time with his family.

Chuck Garrison – Purchasing Manager

Chuck has served in the printing and binding industry for more than 15 years. After leaving college,  he worked as a sales representative with a local San Antonio paper company before joining  Universal Bookbindery as the Shipping and Receiving Manager in 1996. Chuck is father to three children and enjoys spending time hunting and fishing.
